Christmas Card 2019

Merry Christmas from us to you! I have been dying to share our Christmas card photos with you ever since I received them over the Thanksgiving weekend, thanks to Basic Invites! To be honest, each year I always wonder how I’m going to top past holiday cards but I love love love how this year’s turned out! This is our first year working with Basic Invites to create our cards! Previously, we would do a shoot and then I would design our Christmas cards {see here, & here}, but i couldn’t be more happy with how they turned out this year! Without a fresh snowfall, scouting out a location to take family photos can be difficult this time of year! The Amelita Mirolo Barn in Upper Arlington is a hidden gem in Columbus and it seriously makes for the most gorgeous backdrop. You don’t need a fancy photographer to capture truly special moments. My mom took these for us with my Canon G7X point and shoot camera & they are oh so special to us!

There are so many modern holiday cards options on Basic Invites but this one was our favorite! When designing the perfect holiday card, I like to go simple as far as text goes in order to let the photo do the talking. You can actually order a printed sample before you place your final order. That way you can see the paper quality and how it will print in real life to make sure the card is perfect!

This year I had my envelopes addressed for me, and its free- which is amazing! Talk about a time saver! You can input the addresses yourself using Basic Invite’s template or take advantage of their address capturing by sharing a link with your loved ones. It will send a request for their address, store it in your account and can be selected during the design process. Easy peasy. Their quality and customization is everything and they have so many classy and professional options to choose from.
